Tinika & Savonne in Centennial Park
I met the nicest couple this weekend for an engagement shoot. Tinika and I had only spoken via email prior to our shoot this weekend, so there was no way for me to get excited about the visual possiblities of shooting her sparkling personality and million-watt smile in advance, but she sure did bring both along to the shoot! She and her fiancee' Savonne were so sweet together and they were up for anything during our shoot. By the end, we were tiptoeing through waterfalls and jumping sky-high to the backdrop of the gorgeous "golden hour" in Centennial Park. Here's to June in Atlanta!

A New Blog!
So I've been toying with the idea of publishing a blog for some time now, and the relaunch of www.christinevancleave.com seemed like just the perfect opportunity! Keep your eyes open for new posts about my recent 5k win (ok, ok, 3rd place...), our trip to Tampa, and Sarah & Eric's beautiful pastoral wedding... That's right, this photographer's blog comes complete with pictures!
Sarah & Eric's Country Wedding
Sarah and Eric were married in a lovely private venue on family land. I've got to say, this venue was amazing. They came up with all sorts of unique solutions - including 4-wheeling people into the venue after an unexpected rain, using generators to power - well, pretty much everything, and positioning lovely reception tents in a fairy cove that came complete with a babbling brook! It was really dark, but the darkness provided the event an intimate feel and also gave us some really artsy shots!
When we first spoke to them, Sarah and Eric were very direct about how highly they valued both photo and video. Their top priority was capturing images with the family and friends who had come to support them on their wedding day. We jumped at the chance to work with clients who value our services so much! Chris is getting ready to take a look at their wedding footage now. I'll post the video when it's ready!
